Note-taking Accommodations

  • Note-taking accommodations ensure eligible students with disabilities that have a functional limitation impacting his/her ability to accurately take notes receive a set of lecture notes for each class that note-taking is necessary.
  • Note-takers are solicited in class on a volunteer basis. Note-takers are provided a letter of commendation for community service at the end of the semester.
  • Many instructors provide notes or power point slides online via Blackboard which may reduce the need for note-taking.
  • In addition to note-taking, the AAAC has LiveScribe Smart Pens available for students to check out.
